Section 508
Section 508 is a federal law that requires all federal agencies to develop, maintain, procure or use electronic and informational technology accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 are technical requirements outlined to all agencies standardizing measurements to provide individuals with disabilities equal access to electronic information and data equal to those without disabilities. Architectural Barriers Act of 1968 (42 U.S.C. §§ 4151--57)
The Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) requires access to facilities that are designed, built, altered, or leased with Federal funds. The Access Board is the federal agency responsible for enforcing the ABA. The Access Board's accessibility standards are available on their website at www.access-board.gov/guidelines-and-standards/buildings-and-sites/about-the-aba-standards, and information about filing a complaint may be found at https://www.access-board.gov/enforcement/.

Related Laws
It is important to understand Section 508 in the context of other laws related to federal disability policy. In addition to Section 508, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 has several other sections:
Section 501 and 505 - Prohibits federal employers from discriminating against qualified individuals with disabilities
Section 503 - Prohibits employment discrimination based on disability by federal contractors or subcontractors
Section 504 - Prohibits federal agencies, programs, or activities from discriminating and requires reasonable accommodation for qualified individuals with disabilities.
