DESCRIPTION:The USIBWC Lower Rio Grande Citizens Forum Board held a public meeting on August 6\, 2024\, at the Mercedes Field Office\, in Mercedes\, Texas. \nDr. Maria-Elena Giner\, P.E.\, USIBWC Commissioner\, and USIBWC Hydrologist Delbert Humberson discussed research the agency has done on Rio Grande hydrology. DESCRIPTION:The USIBWC Southeast Arizona Citizens Forum Board hosted an in-person and virtual public meeting on August 15\, at the Tubac Community Center\, Tucson\, Ariz. \nCrystal Cadillo\, P.E.\, Civil Engineer with the USIBWC Construction Management Division\, presented on the recent rehabilitation of the International Outfall Interceptor in Nogales\, Arizona. The pipeline conveys wastewater from Nogales and Rio Rico\, Arizona\, and Nogales\, Sonora\, over a length of 9.9 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border to the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plant in Rio Rico. \nAndres Rangel\, Associate Director of the North America Development Bank\, discussed updates to the Estadio Pump Station project.
