DESCRIPTION:The USIBWC Southeast Arizona Citizens Forum Board held a public meeting on March 19\, 2024\, at the Radon Conference Room\, Water Campus Conference\, 2955 Calle Agua Nueva\, Tucson\, Ariz. \nDr. Sharon B. Megdal\, Director of the Water Resource Research Center at the University of Arizona\, provided an update on the status of the Transboundary Aquifer Assessment Program (TAAP)\, including the five-year strategic plan put together by the participating water institutes and USGS\, along with the status of the request for congressional reauthorization. \nMatt Narter\, R.G.\, Senior Hydrogeologist at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality\, outlined the ways that in recent years there have been many scientific\, regulatory\, and legal developments related to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances).
