USIBWC CRP hosts Basin Advisory Committee (BAC) Meetings to inform the public and stakeholders and to gather feedback on the issues and perceived issues in the watershed. (More information on our BAC meetings can be found on our Participation page and dates on our Calendar/Activities page.) In addition to public meetings, CRP has annual meetings, the Coordinated Monitoring Meetings, with all the sampling partners to discuss the next years' monitoring schedule. After the July 15, 2009 Lower Rio Grande Basin Advisory Committee Meeting in Mercedes, Texas, the Brownsville Herald published a front-page article about the upcoming CRP bacteria study. After the June 8, 2010 meeting, the television and newspaper stations in the Lower Rio Grande Valley also gave the study some media attention!
